TEN MINUTE WALK

This piece focuses on the pollution issue on the UW-Stout campus.  This community has been my home for the past four years, I have become extremely attached with the campus.  Stout is known for their sustainability practices and efforts.  However, as with most initiatives, the fire has started to flicker and the issues of pollution are returning. Upon walking to my house, a ten-minute walk, I noticed there was an exceedingly increasing amount of trash on the campus.

I took pictures of the trash and displayed them to show people that the issue, that was believed to be under control, still exists and is lurking.  Along with the eight-foot-long panel of the trash pictures, there is also a pile of trash that is growing out of the ground. Both of these objects are placed below eye level to encourage people to look down and see the trash that they so easily ignore.

I also used a technique called Photogram for several images.
